  1. Music was good, very mixed policy, as advertised. The dancefloor is pretty small and the club is already full by 10 so not the easiest place to go and dance but nice venue all the same.

    Andy “El Nino” Cueto
Andy was born in Lima Callao, in Peru and London raised, and started DJing, when 13 years old, and his mother wanted to make some extra money by organising Latin parties. Sometimes it went well, but the most of the time she wouldn’t make any money at all, and it was hard for her as a single parent, trying to bring up her 5 children, without support, so Andy decided to help her out on the music side of things by doing the DJing.
At the time Andy was mostly into Hip-hop, Rib and even House music, despite the fact that his mother always had Salsa blaring out wherever she was. Andy gradually began to feel the music and found he could relate to its history and see how the other genres of music grew out of it – like Hip-hop, RnB etc. then started to part exchange my Hip-hop, RnB and House music for Latin vinyl’s, mainly Salsa.
Andy started DJing professionally at La Finca (Islington). 3 nights a week, Thursday to Saturday. when he was 15.
The owner of La Finca, Jim gave Andy the name ìEl Ninoî , when Andy was celebrating his 18 th birthday at La Finca. and the owner realised that Andy had been working for 3 years illegally and started calling himÖîEl NinoÖEl NinoÖDJ El Ninoî meaning ‘little boy or young boy’. He’s kept the name El Nino ever since.
La Finca was one of the major Latin clubs in London . Almost everyone went there to dance Salsa in the late 80s and early 90s, remembering then, there weren’t many Latin clubs in the UK . Andy DJ’ed there for 6 good years.
He then moved onto a DJ residency at Fiesta Havana, Hanover Square where he does most of his DJing. alongside regular slots at Barrio Latino in Bar Rumba. alongside occasional various ventures into record production.
Andy is known for playing the best, the most uncompromising, the most upfront, Salsa, Reggaeton, Merengue, Latin house, hip-hop and RnB. which typically will include Pete Conde Rodriguez, Jimmy Sabater, Hector Lavoe, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Daddy Yankee, Ruben Blades, Bobby Valentine, Tego Calderon, Vico-C, Jose Cheo Feliciano, and Willie Colon.
    Latin Clan
Latin Clan has become the most popular and sought after Latin Hip Hop and Reggaeton crew in The UK. What
started as a group of friends who got together freestyle in Spanglish, has become the talk of town in
less than a year. With 2 impressive MCs, and gifted DJ and a band to back them up, they are energetic, street,
    raw and full of flavour.
They have already performed in some of the hottest stages in London (Koko, Sound, Bar Rumba, Infernos -for
the Latin Splash 2004 after Party, The Rhythm factory) and with Reggaeton becoming more popular by the day,
this crew is set to become the first Latin act from the UK to break into the mainstream.
Their productions are a mix of British Hip Hop, Old Skool Salsa, Dancehall, R& B, Bashment and Reggaeton,
giving them a unique sound. Their shows are unique, mixing Afro-Cuban percussion and scratching with some
of the best beats around; an original and refreshing experience for those who like either Hip Hop or Latin Music.
At the moment they are working on their first production, along with some of the best producers in
London, such us DJ Space Monkey (from Jamiroquai).

  7. Has anyone heard anything about Daddy Yankee? Will he be making any public appearances anywhere? My friends and I are really big fans and would really love to meet him, or at least see him.
